Riise for the morning: A summary of the 5-part series.

We hope you enjoyed this series on how experts and seriously successful individuals begin their mornings. Try to integrate some of their tips into your own routine and see what happens!

There are definitely some key themes that are shared by all the experts we looked at. These include:

1. Waking up earlier than you need to.

This means trying to wake up before the latest possible time you need to be up. Whether this is simply 20 minutes or a full hour, there are some really great benefits to implementing additional time to ensure a peaceful morning.

2. Prevent overwhelming stress before your day even begins.

While waking up early and taking time for yourself contributes to this, it’s clear that meditation, journaling, or just taking a nice shower are all similarly helpful. In general, you should focus on the present and not on all the things you have to do later in the day. Use this time for yourself.

Other major contributors to positive morning routines include exercise and proper nutrition, of course.

3. Exercise of some kind, whether it is a gentle as stretching or as intense as spinning.

It’s essential to many that they get their blood flowing in the morning to properly begin their days on a positive note. Exercise releases endorphins throughout your body, allowing you to feel more relaxed, be more productive, and gives you more time to relax in the evening.

4. Eat a healthy and sustaining breakfast that keeps you satisfied until lunch.

We recommend eating a breakfast that involves oats, nuts, fruits, veggies, and plant-based protein powder. These foods alone will provide you with all the nutrients you need to start your day right.
